Came from Kingston, NY where it was known as Cy's Diner, a chain of diners in Hudson Valley cities. a great real diner with simple but good diner food. A true experience for fans of real diners.

Has been in the same family it's entire existence. The diner has had 3 extensions built onto it. Once you try the food, you'll know why. The interior of the diner is in excellent shape, but the exterior needs some TLC.

A beacon to travelers west of Albany on US Rt 20. This Bixler has been covered over with stones for a long long time. The diner did survive a fire and has original stools and booths, wood, like they all used to be at one time. They serve good real diner food. Often a stop of mine when traveling I-88.

Previously the Miss Glenmont Diner. The original Glenmont Diner sat on the other side of the road. The diner, probably a Brill diner and part of the Miss Albany chain, was destroyed by fire. Diner is popular on the weekends.

Diner has been at this spot since the 1950s. It was once called the Thruway Diner, though I am not sure why. So few of these small diners exist today, and this place gives you the true feeling of a diner in the 1930s during lunch when the place is packed with people from all walks of life.

Diner appeared in the movie Ironweed, during which it received some refreshing. Jan and Cliff Brown, an engineer by trade, bought the diner a little bit after this and has had a successful run ever since. The brunch menu, especially the mad irish eggs and toast makes the diner a very busy place on the weekends.

This diner started out at the site of the current Menands Diner. At this site, it was called the Broadway Diner. Colonie Historian related a story that there were disagreements involving the owners of the diner, and frequently, there would be broken windows. The diner was moved to Wolf Rd. in eight sections in 1983.
