News:  (A monthly chronicle)
To report news, go to the main page, and post in our guestbook.

May 2011: Working on stuff here and there. The Westfield, NY historian has come up with a bunch of new information, which is fantastic. June 2010: It has been a long time posting here. Updates on the diner book are available here.
Dan's in Spencertown, Chuck Wagon in Princetown are the two major openings. Friend of NYDiners.com, Dean Smith has bought the Penn Yan Diner.  Links page(this page, see below) has been updated. American Dream Diner in Orangeburg, built by United Diner Co. of Philly.
A bunch of research that has not made it to this site has been done. Much of it is minor, but is important in the big picture.

September 2008:
The Diners of New York book is due out at the end of the month. I will be including the occasional extra story to the NY book web page. Added a bunch of links for good blogs to check out. Some behind the scenes diner research, many dead ends, but some little finds.  Included a top 5 diner mysteries web page.  I want to get a in depth page for Buffalo going.
April 2008:  Many pictures have been added to the Long Island region.  Downstate is slowly looking fuller and fuller.  The picture on the nydiners page is what the cover of the book will look like!  remember, September 2008, Diners of New York.
June 2007: The Ohio pages have been placed online. Not completely finished. I have started to change the message board to a site dedicated to leave information about the history of diners.
The New York individual listings of diners, by region, are sporadically getting updated with more history added, as time allows. This month's photo is the Empire Diner in Herkimer, which hopefully will open in July.  Oh, we have a new main opening page for NYDiners. It's because I have always had other interests, and I want to make sure they get their just due.
April 2007: The Ohio pages are still on the backburner. Have been working on a message board for Roadside Radio, which is almost set to go online. I am also working on a Ward & Dickinson dining car list, that will eventually be searchable by state, name and city. Initially, it will not be searchable. Change photo on front. The Elizaville Diner is great, been there, good food, but I will only use that photo during the Christmas season.
February 2007: Headlines will go on the main page. Started a blog for diners in Ohio and New York City. The Ohio pages have been started, but I have been working on my travel website for Roadside Radio. The new Ohio pages have not been placed online, as of yet. Currently, the original page is in its place.
November 2006:
Unvieling of new design for www.nydiners.com. Long Island, Lower Hudson Valley and NYC are incomplete at this time. The Diners of New York book, to be published by Stackpole Books is not due out for a year, so the page will be slow in materializing. The partial Virginia pages were created in October of 2006, and the Michigan pages were created in August of 2006.
