Comment : I was a long time customer of the Concord. The food is good and parking at peak times is usually available, although it might take some maneuvering in the small lot directly adjacent to the restaurant. It is conveniently located right on Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream, just around the corner from busy Rockaway Avenue. It is also a designated pick up stop for those Atlantic City bus outings the seniors enjoy.
The food was usually good, although here and there I did not receive my order exactly as I requested it. The portions are not extremely generous but satisfying and the prices are moderate and comparable to other diners in the area.
Because of the way the restaurant is designed, it can be hard to get a waiter’s attention if you are sitting very far in the back on either side.
As a regular customer however I became uncomfortable going there frequently – purely my own problem and not that of the restaurant’s. There was one bus boy (I hate that term) – waiter’s assistant, who always recognized me and said hello. Not so much the other wait staff and that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I don’t expect balloons and flowers but it is nice to be remembered. I think I am a fair tipper so I don’t think it had anything to do with that. I would however recommend eating there. The Concord is attractive and clean and if you’re not as self conscious as I, you should enjoy the experience. The most important thing is the food and that is good.

Comment : when i go visit my father i eat at the concord diner the portions are generous they gave me a lot of food with my breakfast.i would recommend it to people i know i live in upstate ny for our area the prices at this dinerwould be expensive that what i like about long island when i visit the food is good |
